The Embodied Horsewomanship Online Course
An immersive online journey into Equine Guided Empowerment® & Somatic Reprogramming®
Transform your Relationship with your Horse and YourSelf
The core purpose of the online Embodied Horsewomanship course is to introduce you to The Reflective Horse® philosophy, which cultivates deeper, more authentic connections between individuals, their horses, and themselves.
Through the modalities of Equine Guided Empowerment® and Somatic Reprogramming® the course offers a transformative approach based on horse-herd dynamics and the self-honoring, relational qualities of the Lead Mare — the matriarchal direction-setter of a wild herd — leading embodied transformation on personal, relational, spiritual and physical levels. With over two decades of development, this approach has profoundly impacted hundreds of people, and their horses, promoting healing and personal empowerment through somatic practices, now available to you in your own home, pasture and barn.
The Embodied Horsewomanship online course invites you to explore the subtle, energetic communication that exists between horses and humans. Horses are constantly engaging with each other, asking energetic questions like, "Where are you?" and "Who is leading?" These inquiries are not about hierarchy or dominance, but about sensing balance and harmony — critical to their survival. As Rupert Sheldrake's research into Morphic Fields suggests, horses possess an extraordinary spatial awareness that allows them to navigate and connect energetically with one another, the environment, and with humans. In this course, you will deepen your understanding of your own energetic field and discover how horses communicate through energy. This powerful practice of energetic attunement will not only enhance your interactions with horses but will also create lasting shifts in how you engage with the world around you, bringing more awareness, balance, and connection into your daily life and relationships.

Experience connection

The Reflective Horse® philosophy
At The Reflective Horse®, we understand that horses and nature allow us access and guidance to “coming home” to our own true nature and reconnection with the essence of ourselves, beyond the limitations of our conditioned ego mind, revealing our connection and relationship to everyone and everything around us.
Our partnership with horses is one of allegiance, presence and growth, fostering a bond based in affinity. This is a philosophy that has unfolded over time, recognising that in order to know ourselves we have to look at the parts that we have dismissed or put aside. It is a journey of self-realization. A path through many veils of deepening awareness. Partnering with free-roaming horses accelerates our experience of ourselves, as they reflect so purely the energy we present to them. With no judgement or agenda, they meet us exactly where we are.
At The Reflective Horse® we partner with free horses who are neither subjugated nor used for human gratification. Our philosophy lies in the knowledge that horses, in their natural habitat, free to fully express themselves, are the greatest teachers, allowing us to explore and develop ourselves as harmonious, embodied and free individuals. We experience that dominance, constraints, or tools of control are not conducive to authentic relationships with horses or ourselves. Like any relationship, the willingness to show up truthfully, with trust, courage, compassion and self-honoring, allows the horse freedom to be a willing partner, pointing us inward, toward our true nature.

Awaken self-awareness
through embodied somatic practices.

What our community is saying…
-
"This course met me in a place I didn’t even realize I was longing to be seen. I came hoping to learn new horsemanship tools and I left with something far more profound: a relationship with my horse rooted in mutual respect, quiet presence, and deep listening. The practices helped me return to myself in a way that rippled far beyond the barn. It’s not just a course. It’s a reclamation."

"I’ve spent over 30 years working with horses and thought I’d seen it all. This course invited me into a completely different way of being. One where leadership doesn’t come from pressure or performance but from presence. It humbled me, opened me, and changed how I show up not just with horses but with my partner, my kids, and myself."

"I came into this course never having worked with horses before and feeling unsure if I even belonged in this space. But from the first lesson I felt held. The way the course weaves together somatic awareness, emotional honesty, and herd wisdom is unlike anything I’ve experienced. I didn’t just learn about horses. I learned how to listen to my body, soften into trust, and walk through the world a little more awake."
